I am running xp home sp3 as the administrator. #1. whenever i click on an icon, a box opens with "run as" and "which user do you want to use to run this program?"So, I have to sign in to use any program each time I click a program icon. #2. when ever I open a file, I'll use and avi as an example. a box opens with "this file doesn't have a program associated with it for ...etc. Create an association in the folder options control panel." I did that and no change. I still have to "open with" and select a program to run the avi with each and every time I open it. both issues just started a few days ago and it does not happen in the limited account on my PC. I'm running zone alarm and norton av 2010. thanks, jt4 people need an answerI do too
